Product Description The company that created the renowned Swiss Army knife in 1897 offers this 14-tool pocket knife toolbox for campers, hikers, hunters, fishers, and other outdoor lovers--plus a leather belt pouch at no additional charge. All tools neatly fold up inside a single implement sheathed in durable plastic that measures just 3-1/2 inches long and has a key ring on the end. Tools are all stainless-steel, except for a plastic toothpick. In addition to the toothpick, the tools comprise a large knife blade, small knife blade, can opener, bottle opener, small screwdriver, large screwdriver, reamer, sewing eye, tweezers, corkscrew, scissors, hook, and wood saw. The Huntsman carries a lifetime warranty against defects. About Victorinox In 1884, Swiss cutler Karl Elsener set up shop in Ibach-Schwyz, installing a waterwheel in Tobelbach Brook to run his grinding and polishing machines. Thus began what would become the international brand name Victorinox, a combination of Victoria, for Elsener's mother, and "inox," or stainless steel. Today, Victorinox produces watches, luggage, clothing, and, famously, Swiss Army Knives. The forerunner of that name dates to 1897, when Elsener patented the Swiss Officer's and Sports Knife he supplied to the Swiss Army. Following World War II, American servicemen and women shopping in PX stores shortened the name to Swiss Army Knife, which lives on in English-speaking countries around the world and has become a metaphor or versatility.

huntsman knife July 23, 2010 Fish (NY) I purchased this item, and am Very happy with it. I would like to address the concerns some reviewers had about the case that comes with the knife. If you place the knife with the Swiss Army logo to the front or back, and the ring on top, it will fit very nicely in the case. You don't want a lot of movement...not only will that scratch the finish, but it may inadvertently cause the flap to open, disgorging the knife. At the time that I purchased the knife I ordered a "specialty" case, also thru Amazon, based on the reviews here. I believe I will return it, as the case that comes with it is more than adequate. And,I hope this helps someone...if you look at the chart provided on the back of the package, you will see a diagram of where each part of the knife is located.See the gray "tab" by #10/key ring? If you pull that up, you will find the tweezers. The white tab? That would be the toothpick :o)
SHORT POUCH FLAP--It Doesn't Snap properly April 21, 2010 Julie LeHouillier (DAYTON, OH, USA) 5***** Excellent Victorinox Swiss Army Huntsman Knife--I LOVE THE KNIFE--*****
0* Free Pouch--Flap TOO SHORT--DOESN'T SNAP PROPERLY--CAN'T RETURN BECAUSE
Package was opened. Knife and Pouch in same bubble back--only way to put knife in pouch is to open it. I wanted a new pouch. Being packed together you should assume they will fit together. No way to just exchange the pouch--If a new pouch wouldn't fit properly, I would be happy to exchange it for the free flashlight that was also offered ad a package with the knife.
BUYER BEWARE
I was misled by the product guarantee, I found that if package opened, you're out of luck. There is no place to even exchange a defective part OR if you should send whole thing back.
Victorinox Swiss Army Huntsman with Pouch January 13, 2009 K. Hecke I was thrilled to receive the knife the day before Christmas Eve so I could give it to my Dad in time. It was a terrific buy and he loved it. Thanks!
Great camping/hunting everyday knife May 27, 2008 Julian Duran Pilarte (San Juan, PR) This product is certified by Swiss Army, so you know you are getting an authentic knife. The long term view April 9, 2008 Ken Martin (Midway USA) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I've had my huntsman for more than 25 years, and it has always functioned flawlessly. The quality of workmanship is superb and the knife shows almost no sign of its age, other than superficial scratches on the scales. One small gritch: The surgical steel is very hard and therefore a little tricky to sharpen. Overall, the Huntsman is a great knife and Victorinox is tough to beat.
