A friend bought me this for my "Collection" Model 1660ST. I now carry this knife everyday. The knife is slim and good to carry, the opening is very impressive and so far the blade has stayed very sharp.
My previous knife was a Benchmade Mini reflex, which I am now concerned about legalities with. I did change the pocket clip on the Leek so that it attaches opposite the hinge which follows the Benchmade pattern and is more familiar to me.
I also tightened up the safety to keep it out of the way as it seems superfluous to me.
A good blow out with compressed air and a shot of Lock Eze from time to time keeps it happy.
A great knife at a good price.

I haven't received this knife since I placed the order. I'm supposed to give this knife to my best friend on his B-Day, but never received it and no communication or whatsoever with thompson tools (dealer)

After carrying a knife for years, I believe this knife meets all the needs of an every day carry pocket knife. The size is perfect (not going to scare someone when/if you pull it out) and fits in pocket well. The speed assist opening is good for a quick one-handed 'draw'. Partially serrated blade adds functionality. Black blends with clothes well. Blade holds edge for a long time. I have been carrying and using this knife for 2 years and haven't needed to sharpen it yet (occasional use). So handy!! You never know when they may stop production. It is good to have this knife in your collection. This is the first review I have ever written, but for THIS knife... I had to share my thoughts/comments. This is the best knife I have ever carried around for daily use!
